International project orientated company
Union Engineering is further strengthening their focus on the Industrial Gas and Oil/Gas sectors, and they are now seeking for a Proposal Engineer to fill in an open position in their sales department for the industrial gases segment. This department is responsible for the global sales to the world’s largest industrial gases and engineering companies. As Proposal Engineer you will be co-responsible for the internal handling of their customer inquiries as well as for the preparation of offers and support towards their external sales teams in both their headquarter and subsidiaries. Referring to the General Sales Manager in the industrial gases segment, you will be working at the head office in Fredericia.

A customer-focused workday
Preparation of offers on complex technical projects will consume most of your time. You have to review the tender documents, invite tenders from the subcontractors as well as coordinate and participate in the preparation of the process design, costing and internal offers. You deliver a strong and independent back-office support towards the staff in the field, while developing and improving the sales tools on an ongoing basis. As a natural part of your job, you will have to participate in fairs and sales visits on an occasional basis. Finally, you will be involved in various cross-organizational groups working on internal innovation projects.

Engineer with commercial interest
You have a background as engineer and have been working with complex technical plants. Ideally, you have experience in process plants – experience within the Oil & Gas industry is a plus. You have quite some experience, but above all, you thrive by working with offer bidding and calculations.

Languages: English at a high level - both orally and in writing.

IT skills: Must have reasonable skills in Excel. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX and Comos will be a plus.

Traveling days: Approx. 2 - 3 weeks per year.

Residence: Within max 1 hour away from Fredericia.
