Purpose & Responsibilities

We are looking to hire an EHS Manager responsible for TIP's nordic region encompassing Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway.

The EHS Manager will ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations as well as TIP's highest standards regarding occupational health and safety.

To ensure success you need to have a strong background in EHS and willingness to travel across all four countries of the region regularly. Knowledge of the maintenance and repair and transportation industry is an asset. Top candidates have excellent communication and people skills and are detail-oriented.

The EHS Manager is based in Denmark and will report with a solid line to the ESG/EHS Director.

The main responsibilities of this role are:

• Enforce and monitor implementation of the TIP EHS Policy and all applicable EHS procedures
• Identify and implement best practices in EHS
• Perform EHS risk assessments
• Implement inspection routines for EHS related business purposes
• Report any external agency audits
• Ensure any accident / dangerous occurrence is reported
• Perform accident investigations
• Create and distribute safety alerts for accidents / dangerous occurrences that might happen at other sites or the same site again
• Support implementation of TIP Environmental Policy
• Identify and monitor environmental impacts of operation
• Support environmental Phase 1 and Phase 2 inspections
• Enforce responsible chemicals management
• Provide meaningful EHS training programs
• Monthly reporting of EHS KPIs to the Director ESG/EHS
• Hold monthly safety meetings with the local workshop / branch / office teams
• Communicate responsibly with employees, communities, customers, and government agencies regarding environmental, health and safety issues 
 

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience working in occupational health & safety
• Certified EHS professional (i.e. NEBOSH certification)
• Willingness to travel (75%)
• Keen interest in EHS compliance
• Broad knowledge of the transportation and logistics sector is preferred
• Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
• Outstanding people skills
• Ability to persuade and motivate others
• Excellent active listening, problem solving, communication, prioritization, and facilitation skills
• Ability to deliver against ambitious goals, demanding deadlines, and key milestones
• Fluent in English
